The history of this fairly well-known company today began in the provincial Italian city of Fabriano, in the heart of the flourishing Marche region, at the intersection of two major highways passing through the Apennine peninsula from the Adriatic to the Tyrrhenian Sea. This small colorful town, for several decades, was able to become a leader among industrial settlements in the Marche and Umbria regions. And over time, the glory of Fabriano crossed the borders of the country, because it became Europe's largest center for the production of electrical appliances.
In 1930, in the vicinity of Fabriano, a small factory was opened, specializing in the production of scales. Its products soon won a big popularity on the market. After the Second World War, the enterprise continued to develop. Then Aristide Merloni, together with his sons, began to produce cylinders for liquefied gas in the cities of Sasso Ferrato and Matelica. And this business also brought results in the shortest possible time. Thus, as early as the 1970s the company was one of the leading liquefied gas producers in the world.
After a careful study of market requirements, the company Antonio Merloni in the 60's decided to produce washing machines. In the mid-80's, she began to produce electrical appliances. In 1984, the factory produced refrigerators. This plant is located on a very impressive territory of 230 580 square meters. In three years, drying drums and dishwashers began to be manufactured. By the end of the 80's, the company was renamed Antonio Merloni. In 1990, it was renamed to JSC.
In 1993, the department for design and design was created. In the north of the country in a city called Reggio Emilia, a factory was opened, specializing in the production of gas and electric cookers, as well as built-in appliances.
To date, the Antonio Merloni group is one of the most famous and, of course, major manufacturers of electrical appliances throughout Europe. In a year there are more than three million products, but such a large number does not affect the highest quality of products. In the city of Fabriano there are three factories producing washing machines. In Santa Maria the factory is engaged in the production of washing machines with front loading, and in Maragona, respectively with the top. In Piaggio Dolmo there is a factory of drying drums.
