BOSCH Brand History

BOSCH began its existence in 1886 in the German city of Stuttgart after the discovery by Robert Bosch of the "Workshop of Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering". Robert Bosch was born in 1861 in Albeke, in the family of a well-to-do peasant. Growing up, Bosch became a well-known electrical engineer and, as it turned out later, one of the leaders of the industrial revolution. Questions of product quality have always been for him the main. The motto of the company was the phrase: "it is better to lose money than the trust of customers." In addition, one of the main issues addressed by Robert Bosch was the health and disability of his full-time workers. In 1906 an eight-hour working day was introduced, and in 1910 - an abbreviated day on Saturday. After the proclamation of the slogans "Sell the best from the best" and "The pleasure of your business partners is more important than the minute benefit" Bosch has become a very respected person in the business community. Bosch believed that business should be built on the mutual trust of partners and the production of quality goods. He represented his company as a living being, which was to create development paths for common interests.

Robert Bosch started his business with a small workshop. However, in 1901, Bosch moved with his co-workers to a new, more spacious building, expanded the staff with the best mechanics and bought new equipment. By the beginning of the First World War, Bosch had become one of the most successful entrepreneurs. The big success of the company was brought by household electrical appliances.

In 1933 the first BOSCH refrigerator was introduced. It was a round "refrigerating drum" on legs with a mass of 80 kg and a capacity of 60 liters. Later, there were refrigerators of the "new generation". They allowed to keep the food fresh twice longer. In 1989, the serial production of refrigerators was established. Now, many manufacturers of refrigerators are returning to the "drum" form. It turned out that the energy loss from the area of the cylinder is lower than from a rectangular surface.

In the 30's, BOSCH started producing professional tools. In 1932, the company produced the world's first electric perforator, in 1946 - the world's first electric jigsaw. In addition, in 1984 the company created the world's first cordless puncher.

In the 1950s BOSCH became one of the largest producers of household appliances. In 1950, the first cooker BOSCH was created - an analog of those we use now. In 1957 - a freezer, in 1958 - a washing machine, and in 1965 - a dishwasher.

In 1967, the division of Robert Bosch GmbH and Siemens AG merged into one company - BSH Bosch and Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH.

BOSCH also achieved recognition in the automotive industry. And after the establishment of the branch of BOSCH Telecom, the production of telephone sets began, but here the company follows its traditions of creating a quality product.

The guarantee of the company's impeccability is style, convenience and ease of use of technology. Washing machines combined with drying machines, which automatically set the working time and spin speed, home massagers and warmers, built-in household appliances, cookers and vacuum cleaners - all this was created solely for the maximum comfort of consumers.

Particular attention should be paid to modern refrigerators BOSCH. The company has developed a new Antibacterial system, which prevents the proliferation of microorganisms. Now the products remain fresh longer, they retain vitamins, and bacteria lose the opportunity to spread inside the refrigerator.

Annually, since 2001, in all European countries, Readers' Digest has carried out research aimed at identifying brands that consumers enjoy most success and respect. The journal takes into account the opinion of each individual respondent, but the set of preferences determines the leader in the whole country. In the category "trust mark 2006" in the category "household appliances" the sixth time BOSCH company takes the first place. It is not easy to take a leading position in the conditions of modern market competition, but it is even more difficult to keep them for a long time. The company does not forget about its customers and continues to confirm the quality of its products. Attention is focused on the trust of customers, as well as on the careful attitude to nature. In this regard, BOSCH annually spends 100 million euros to protect the environment.

In 2003 Bosch acquired Buderus.

The company produces its products in factories in Germany, Spain, Turkey, Slovenia, Greece and Poland. In Germany at the moment there are four plants.
