The story begins in the forge of the town of Wald, near Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia. With the owner of the forge Joshua Kortz worked several of his friends, including nephew Robert Krups. The son of the latter, also named Robert, turned the smithy into an industrial company.

In 1956, "Krups begins" the production of the first electric coffee grinders. As a confirmation of the consumer demand for these new products, "Krups" in the first year of production sold 1 million of these coffee makers.
1959
Creation of the famous mixer "3 Mixes". Practical and original this device quickly conquers the consumers of Germany and becomes the ideal symbol of modern cuisine.
1960
