The company Rinnai & Co was formed in 1920. At first the company produced and sold oil ovens.

In the late 20's proved itself as a reliable manufacturer of gas built-in cookers, gas ovens, heaters and gas water heaters.

1920 - The company Rinnai & Co. was established by the founders (Hidejiro Naito and Kenkichi Hayashi).

1923 - Beginning of sales and export of gas devices, including built-in stoves, gas ovens, water-heating and other gas appliances needed in the farm.

1938 - Production of aviation components as a factory controlled by the army.

1946 - Resumption of production of gas devices

1950 - Transformation into a limited liability company.

1954 - Opening of the office in Tokyo.

1958 - Cooperation with German Schwank GmbH, and the start of production, as well as the sale of infrared gas burners and the development of furnaces and other products.

1960 - Opening of the Asahi plant.

1961 - Opening of the Fukuoka office.

1963 - Opening of Sapporo and Sendai offices.

1964 - Opening of the Oguchi plant. Development of gas devices for bath heating.

1967 - Opening of the Technological Development Center.

1969 - Obtaining the first Japanese JIS certificate for gas appliances.

1970 - Opening of Rinnai Taiwan Corporation

1971 - Change of name to "Rinnai Corporation" Education "RB Controls Co., Ltd." and "Rinnai Australia Pty., Ltd".

1972 - Receiving the Ota Award from the Korean Gas Association for gas high-speed convection ovens.

1973 - Opening "Rinnai (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd."

1974 - Opening of Rinnai Korea Corporation and Rinnai America Corporation.

1975 - Opening of Rinnai New Zealand Ltd. and Equipamentos NGK-Rinnai Ltd

1976 - Opening of Rinnai Industries (UK), Ltd.

1979 - took the second position in the list of "Nagoya Stock Exchange". Opening "Rinnai Precision Co., Ltd." and the opening of the plant Seto.

1981 - Opening of Japan Ceramics Co., Ltd.

1982 - took the second position in the list of "Tokyo Stock Exchange". Opening of the training center at the Seto plant.

1983 - Opening of the Hiroshima office. I took the first position in the list of "Tokyo Stock Exchange".

1986 - Receiving the "Excellent Technology Prize" and "Chunichi Industrial Technology Award" awards from the Japan Gas Association for the development of ultra compact water appliances.

1988 - Opening "P.T. Rinnai Indonesia." Formation of the office of "Hong Kong Representive Office".

1990 - Opening of the Tuskuba Research Center. Opening "Rinnai (Thailand) Co., Ltd." and "Noto Tech Co., Ltd."

1991 - Opening "Rinnai Singapore Pte. Ltd."

1993 - Opening of Shanghai Rinnai Co., Ltd.

1994 - Completion of the construction of a new head office.

1995 - Obtaining ISO 9001 Certificate for all domestic plants.

1996 - Opening "Rinnai Holdings (Pacific) Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. Obtaining a Permit for Test Equipment from the International Test Service (IAS).

1997 - Obtaining ISO 14001 Certificate for the Oguch plant and Technology Development Center.

1998 - Opening of Rinnai Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Rinnai Hong Kong Ltd.

1999 - Opening of RG Co., Ltd.

2000 - Receiving the "Ministry of International Trade" and "Industry's Energy Conservation Award" awards for high-performance condensate gas-fired water-heating devices. Obtaining ISO 14001 Certificate for the Seto plant.

2001 - Receiving the "Technology Prize" award from the Japan Gas Association for high-performance condensate gas water-heating devices.

2003 - Obtaining ISO 14001 Certificate for all domestic plants. Receiving the Chairman Prize award from the Energy Efficiency Center for a glass-coated stove with an internal firing cultivator.

2005 - Receiving the "Technology Prize" award from the Japan Gas Association for condensate universal water-heating and heating devices "Eco Jozu".

2006 - Opening "RBS Thermo Technology Co., Ltd." Receiving the "Technology Prize" award from the Japan Gas Association for bathroom heating appliances and dehumidifiers with sauna function

2008 - Opening "Rinnai Italia s.r.l." and the opening of the Integrated Logical Center. A gas instantaneous hot water burner sold in the US received the Energy Efficiency Award from the Union for Energy Conservation (ASE). Obtaining ISO 14001 Certificate for Head Office. Obtaining ISO 14001 Certificate for Head Office.

2009 - Opening of Rinnai Canada Holdings Ltd.
